How to Treat and Cure Acne The Proactive Way

One of the things that sometimes bother people is acne, or a skin disease related to the face. But take heed as there are common cures to this disease that many people aren’t aware of. Here are some ways to treat acne – in a proactive way.

First one is that people shouldn’t rub, pick or press pimples growing in their faces since instead of doing any good, this actually causes so much harm on one’s skin – it might puncture the membranes that are underneath the skin, and produces what is called a sebum. When pimples are pricked, the sebum spread and this causes more pimples. Aside from that, there is a possibility that scars might appear in one’s face.

It is advised not to eat too much spicy or oily food for this causes acne. Always find time to drink water each day. Doctors keep on telling patients to drink at least eight glasses of water a day. This is because this liquid would wash away dirt from the body.

For girls and women, avoid using make-up for make-ups clog the pores and which eventually causes more pimples to develop. If women decide to wear make-up, just make sure that the make-up is water-based. And always remember to wash one’s face and to always clean the make-up brushes.

As much as possible, don’t use products that are oil-based such as moisturizers, cleansers and hair pomades.

Make sure that one’s face is always clean. Wash face regularly and avoid touching the face once too often. Always shampoo one’s hair and keep one’s hair away from the face.
